General Training
The Leather Institute is the premier leather care and restoration training facility in the world. We offer courses in leather identification, care and maintenance, color matching, repair, and complete restoration. In addition, we offer custom course tailored to meet our customers specific needs.
Our classes are offered at our New Jersey facility, at Townsend Leather Company's New York facility and on-site worldwide. We offer training in Spanish, French and German. Trainers with years of experience will provide you with the skills and confidence to be the very best in the business. You will be trained to be a competent leather specialist using our proprietary product line.
We offer custom training for stores, retail outlets and businesses as well as aviation specific training. All the necessary tools are supplied in our classes along with our proprietary product line. These products are not available elsewhere and have been developed to comply with Townsend FAA accepted process in addition to passing the vertical flammability testing in accordance with FAR 25.853.
